Maitland to great applause in the press!
Our thanks to Andrea Bailey Cox, Executive Director and CEO, Richard Colvin, Curator who hung the exhibit so expertly in the 5 galleries and the Staff of the Museum for
their enthusiasm and cooperation. FLAG wishes to express our gratitude to our Awards Juror, Lee Weiss a Fellow of the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters and a Dolphin Fellow of the American Watercolor Society. A special “pat on the back” to AHLIN, Chair of the Exhibition/Symposium, for her tireless efforts in organizing this exhibition.
FLAG produced 4 Annual Exhibition/Symposiums and 1 statewide exhibition from May, 2009 to September 2011:
The 58th Annual, AHLIN, President, at Leepa/Rattner Museum, Tarpon Springs, May 2009; 59th Annual at the Armory Art Center, West Palm Beach, September 2009; 60th Annual at BIG ARTS on Sanibel Island, January 2010; including this 61st Annual at the Art & History Museums in Maitland, September 2011 until November 5th. A statewide exhibit at Cornell Museum of Art & American Culture, Delray Beach, April 2011, Chair, Cecily Hangen. There have been several Area Shows over the years- -we are definitely a group of exhibiting artists!
As President, I would like to personally thank all the members of FLAG for their support during my two-year term. The members of the Board have been great to work with and a pleasure to know. Let’s welcome Cheryl Anne Day-Swallow as our new President
for 2011-2013 and we look forward to our 62nd Annual at the
