  Eleanor Richter
Eleanor K. Richter of Coral Springs passed away on June 16,
2014. Artist, photographer, and teacher, Eleanor won local,
regional, and national recognition for her work, which has been
published in numerous catalogs including a cultural publication
in Spain, Espiral de las Artes. Eleanor earned a Bachelor’s de-
gree from Newark State Teacher’s College (now Kean University) and studied with
a number of nationally recognized artists. Her works are in a number of private and public collections. In her many years of volunteering with the Coral Springs Artist Guild and as a founding member, she held many offices including President, Vice President, Membership Chair, Newsletter Editor, Exhibit Chair of many exhibits. She taught classes in watercolor and drawing and gave workshops in computer art. She mentored several presidents and is an Advisor with the Guild. She was a Signature Member in the Florida Watercolor Society, the Palm Beach Watercolor Society and the Gold Coast Watercolor Society. She won many awards as a member of Women
Harry Yeaw
Harold “Harry” Yeaw, a sculptor and painter, passed away
on August 13, 2014. Harry is was born in Providence,
Rhode Island. Upon marrying his sweetheart, Dolores,
they moved to Connecticut before settling in Palm Beach
County in 1963. Harry earned a B.S. degree (cum laude)
and M. of Ed. degree from Florida Atlantic University and worked for IBM in Boca Raton before retiring to teach in both the Public School System and the Private Sec- tor. His love of learning never waned and he continued to study the Arts; producing countless paintings and sculptures, about which he said: “My work reflects a love of nature, striving for elegance, quality of aesthetics and technique. Largely self-taught, my art interest grew toward sculpture and painting in college.” Harry was a member of the Artists Guild of Boca Raton Museum of Art. His interests in life and the arts led him to travel to over 56 different countries. Harry had a life-long love of learning and lived his life with honor, integrity, and humor that was enjoyed by all who knew and loved him.
