Julie’s is a representational artist; her works are delicate and sensitive with a stroke of aggression. Her current works are in the medium of silverpoint. on gessoed luan board Her goal is to make drawing more permanent and less fragile. Historically, she wants to bring the ancient form of silver point drawing back into the contemporary platform. Presently, she is working on a series, titled Entwined Magical Forrest. The Entwined series consists of one to two figures in an equally coupled symbiotic embrace. Each image depicts figures in the act of rest and contemplation - sitting, lounging, lost in thought, and gazing engulfed by nature in their surroundings.
The works included are some of Julies Paintings when she is not working on her silver point series. These works in oil paint are explorative and as an exercise to keep her hand fresh in Paint.
