Artists Bio:

Nancy has a MA in Art from USF, Tampa. As a working artist, she's had invitational exhibits at the Boca
Museum of Art, Discovery Center & Broward Art Center, Lake Wales Art Center, Ridge Art Center in
Winter Haven, and Arts on the Park, in Florida. Her work has won numerous awards and has been accepted in prestigious competitions such as the Hortt, Ft. Lauderdale Museum of Art, Society of Four Art, Palm Beach, Multi-cultural Exhibit and Fine Arts Competition in Winter Haven, St. Petersburg Art Center and the Daytona Beach Museum of Art. She recently won the Elizabeth Morse Genius in the Florida Artist Competition at the Daytona Beach Museum of Art. Nancy teaches art at the Polk Museum of Art in Lakeland, FL.

Artist Statement:

As an artist, I like to use materials to create images of substance, depth and emotion. The enigmatic form invites the viewer to examine the emotion of the subject matter as well as their own perception of their place in society. The element of mystery begs the viewers to contemplate their meanings. The titles assigned to the artworks reveal something of the artist’s connection with them. Art should reflect the inner emotions of the artist’s experiences and views.
