Roxene's Bio:

I exhibit locally, nationally and internationally. As a member of the National Association of Women Artists, the Florida Artists Group and the Boca Raton Museum Artists Guild I often am in their exhibitions. My work was in the 60th and 57th Boca Museum “All Florida” Exhibition. I won a competition to show my work in Ferrara, Italy. I exhibit in the Nathan Rosenberg Museum, the Bonnet House Museum and other competitions. Most recently I had a solo show at the Palm Beach Cultural Council. My paintings are in the collections of the Boynton Beach Public Library, Lynn Cancer Center, the Delray Beach Florida Police Department, and many private collections.

Roxene's Artist Statement
:

Environment has a major effect on our lives. South Florida living has played a huge role in shaping my artistic vision. The dazzling light makes the colors sing. The mysterious ocean beckons discovery of unknown journeys. The swamplands reverberate with reminders of the beginning of creation and the primal order of mankind. These three concepts: color, searching the unknown for an image, and creating pictures relevant to our human experiences, have become the subject of my work. Exploring how far I can push the color and mark making, whether with paint or pastel, is a continual challenge and goal.
