Sonia's Bio:
Sonia Ann Smith graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Slavic
Studies and Art History. During her studies, she acquired a strong interest in the
works of William Kurelek. His use of bold color and simple composition continues
to influence Sonia’s work.

respected in the arts community. After several years of association with the Suntan
Center, she moved to The Art Center (now the Morean Arts Center) in 1995 to

continued until her death in 2010.
