Anne's Bio:
Like so many other artists, I’ve always been interested in art and “arty” things – painting, drawing,
clothing design, sewing, etc. I’m happy when I can put my “creative touch” on something each day.
Throughout my school years I lived in Cranston, R.I., very near the Rhode Island School of Design,
and I spent much of my time there studying drawing, painting and art history.
For three years I studied fashion design and illustration at the Traphagen School in New York City.
Since 1975 I have been painting and exhibiting exclusively in watercolor. Each year I enroll in at least
one week-long workshop under the direction of a nationally renowned watercolor painter. This gives me information and instruction as well as providing inspiration and enthusiasm to continue growing in my
craft. My style of painting has long been semi-abstract, and in recent years I have begun to exhibit
some paintings with a cubism influence.
I am a member of the and have achieved Signature Membership in the Florida Watercolor Society,
the Georgia Watercolor Society, the Southern Watercolor Society, the
Tallahassee Watercolor Society, and Watercolor West – a national society dedicated to the exhibition of purely transparent watercolor paintings.
