Rhonda Bristol is a portrait painter and a sculptor. Now retired from teaching, she works in her Orlando studio daily. Having recently moved from the Keys, she expressed interest in familiarizing herself with the central Florida art scene.
Her works are housed in both Public and Private Collections.
Artist Statement:
I love people and nature. I love making art and I still love teaching through my subject matter, and/or my color palette, in the hopes that viewers will have a connection to my work, finding it complex, yet approachable, challenging, and memorable. I continue using art to captivate, document, educate and instruct viewers, while continuing to really look at things, knowing that there is still much more to experience and include. I am willing to explore and adopt new approaches, new skills, use new materials, and then share the process. I enjoy mentoring because I know that art must be shared to be fully understood and enjoyed.
