in in in in in Ocala was the the the the the most accommodating venue ever Every event from the the the the the Opening Reception on on on on Friday evening evening through the the the the Awards Banquet on on on on Saturday evening evening could not have been more enjoyable I am so grateful to the the friendly and and and professional staff Molly Moody Vandy Shake and and and and Diana Worthman who provided us us with this opportunity and and and gave us everything we needed for its success I applaud Jeffrey Baisden Janis Brothers and and and and Anda Chance for for their hard work work and and and and dedication in in in in in planning and and and and working out the the the the the details for for for the the the the the 68th Annual Exhibition and and and and Symposium for for the the the Florida
Artists Group They did a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a fantastic job from beginning up up to to to to and and including this catalog Thank you to to to to Ronald Gibbons Director of o Area Area VI VI for offering support and and assistance to to to to the 3-person team in in in in Area VIII My first year as President
culminated with the the the the the the vote of of of the the the the the the members to to accept the the the the the the revision of of of of the the the the the the the the Charter and and and the the the the the the the the Bylaws of of of of FLAG bringing us us us us up up to to to date and and and giving us us us us the the the the the the the the ability to to to to to use technological advances in in in in in in in carrying out the the the the the the the business and and and and mission of of of of the the the the the the the group We have added positions positions to to to to the the the the Board of of Directors and and are working to to to to fill these positions positions Our Our 69th Symposium will be held May 31 – June 2 2 2019 at the the Ringling College of Art and and Design in in in in in Sarasota Fl We look forward to seeing you there Our Our 70th Annual Exhibition and and Symposium will be be held in in in in in Melbourne FL at at the the Foosaner Museum I am very excited to to be be able to to have an an an exhibition at at this most interesting new venue for us I I am looking forward to to to a a a a a a a a a a a a a bright future for for for FLAG and and and I I encourage all artists artists and and and lovers of art art art art art to to to to to go to to to to to our our our our website www floridaartistsgroup org and and and get get the information you need to to to to get get involved My congratulations to to to to all all our our our artists artists who participate in in in in our our our Exhibitions and Symposiums We are all winners!
